NPR Music: Tame Impala: Tiny Desk Concert

Tame Impala surprised everyone by going fully acoustic at NPR’s Tiny Desk, trading studio polish for stripped-down vibes in the real Tiny Desk space. Kevin Parker handed over the reins and let the band reimagine tracks old and new—from the guitar-driven groove of “Loser” to the live debut of “Dracula,” which spotlighted their tight harmonies and Parker’s raw falsetto.

Alongside those highlights, they opened with “Borderline” and closed with a laid-back take on “New Person, Same Old Mistakes,” proving that sometimes less really is more—especially in the cozy confines of Tiny Desk.
