The July update of Fusion Suite 2025 is available for download. Fusion Suite refers to the Freedom Scientific software products JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion.

The July update includes new features and enhancements that will benefit all who use this software. Visit the What’s New pages for JAWS, ZoomText, and Fusion 2025 to learn more about this exciting new software. Here are four new features and enhancements you’ll want to begin using right away.

AI Labeler in JAWS

In the May update, we introduced the AI Labeler, which is part of our Early Adopter Program. The AI Labeler uses AI to provide short descriptions for previously unlabeled elements in applications or on web pages. This offers more meaningful context about elements and controls and increases usability.

In the July update, AI generated labels are now automatically saved so JAWS announces the new label each time the specific element is encountered. Also, if you press INSERT+G on a web page element that already contains a custom label, JAWS displays a dialog containing both the current label and a suggested replacement. You can choose whether you want to replace that current label with the new one.

Label Manager

The new Label Manager offers a quick and convenient way to manage custom labels you have created for poorly labeled elements on web pages using the CTRL+INSERT+TAB keystroke. The Label Manager is available in web browsers or anywhere the Virtual Cursor is active, and can be accessed through the Run JAWS Manager dialog (INSERT+F2) or by using the new layered command INSERT+SPACEBAR, ALT+L. When you access the Label Manager, you can edit or delete custom labels. If the AI Labeler feature is enabled through the Early Adopter Program, the Label Manager also includes any AI generated labels.

Improved Google Docs Support in ZoomText

ZoomText now offers improved support in Google Docs. This is especially noticeable when using features like AppReader, Live Text View, mouse echo, and typing echo when reading or navigating documents.

Navigation Quick Keys in Live Text View for Fusion

Navigation Quick Keys are a JAWS feature that enable you to quickly navigate to specific elements of a web page using single keyboard commands. For example, press the letter H to navigate by heading, or T to navigate by table.

When using the Live Text View feature in Fusion, you can now navigate web pages, documents, and email using Navigation Quick Keys.
