Fact Check

To investigate the veracity of the claims surrounding this viral video, we broke it down into keyframes. A reverse image search on one such keyframe led us to this X post, made by user @IacHead, on April 17.

It is the same video as the one that went viral recently. The caption, however, contradicts the claims, identifying the three accused as Kishan, Vikas, and Ramesh. It is said that they had been beaten up for vandalising houses and windows in the neighbourhood at night.

Taking cue from the caption of this X post, we ran a relevant keyword search on Google. This led us to an article by Dainik Bhaskar, published on April 16, which reports on the incident.

According to the report, late into the night on April 16, some 10-12 miscreants, armed with sticks, knives and swords, pelted stones to vandalise houses windows and vehicles in the Dhanda Bhavan area of Ujjain, in Madhya Pradesh. Police arrested three individuals and paraded them in the area. The report also mentions the name of the three accused who appear in the viral video: Kishan Ahirwar, Vikas Saroniya, and Vishal.

Another report, by Navbharat Times, elucidates that the dispute had broken over something as trivial as a refusal to offer a car wash. The complainant, one Sheran Ali, had declined a car wash to the miscreants, citing time constraint. This resulted in a violent retaliation, culminating in the vandalism of vehicles and house windows late at night.

In conclusion, the viral video, which several users have claimed shows three Muslim youths accused of harassing schoolgirls, actually shows three miscreants in Ujjain who vandalised private property, in April 2026. They are not Muslims. Their names are Kishan Ahirwar, Vikas Saroniya, and Vishal.
