Bubsy 4D Preview

Bubsy’s back, and surprisingly, this 2025 revival delivers plenty of classic platforming fun—tight jumps, quirky traversal gimmicks and vibrant, nostalgia-tinged level design. Jared Petty’s hands-on session shows the bobcat’s still got its wry charm and unexpected surprises.

That said, Bubsy 4D isn’t purr-fect: camera hiccups, uneven difficulty spikes and humor that sometimes misses the mark remind you why the series has always been a bit of a hairball. Still, fans of old-school mascots have plenty to get excited about.
