Hey all,

Today we’re thrilled to announce a partnership between Opera Air and the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation, an internationally recognized institution that shares our vision of providing universal access to mindfulness resources.

Since its launch in February, Opera Air, the world’s first mindful browser, has brought users free mindfulness tools directly inside the browser. However busy one’s day, a healthy, mindful break – like a guided meditation or a breathing exercise – is just a click away.

Oxford Mindfulness similarly believes that mindfulness is something we must weave into our everyday lives, rather than step away to discretely “do” – even when we’re in front of our screens. Mindfulness is a skill to be honed, which can boost our mental clarity across the day and thereby improve our overall wellbeing.

To that end, Oxford Mindfulness both teaches mindfulness as a praxis and provides mindfulness teacher training. The foundation grounds its teachings in Mindfulness-based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), which combines mindfulness and psychological science.

Oxford Mindfulness provides free meditations, podcasts, and other resources on its website, which, as part of our collaboration, is now on Speed Dial within the Opera Air homepage. So whenever you open Opera Air, all of the free tools that the Oxford Mindfulness Foundation provides – like free live mediations, book recommendations, and more – are only a click away.

Furthermore, we’re very pleased to announce that Opera Air will be the headline sponsor of the Foundation’s Annual Gathering, this year held in Marlow, UK. The 2025 edition promises to be particularly meaningful, as it brings together the original founders of Mindfulness-Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Professors Zindel Segal, Mark Williams and John Teasdale. It’s been 30 years since they developed MCBT, and attendees will be treated to a discussion about the last 30 years of mindfulness in mental health and all areas of society, as well as their thoughts on the next 30. We’ll be filming the entire event, so their insights will be made available to you all even if you can’t attend the Gathering.

As our partnership develops, we’ll be working closely with Oxford Mindfulness to develop even more in-browser mindfulness content. Though any integrations are a bit down the track, we aim to incorporate more content that reflects the thoughtful, research-based approaches of Oxford Mindfulness, and remain, of course, available for free to everyone within Opera Air.

So stay tuned! Lots to be excited about in the coming months as our organizations learn from each other, and co-create mindfulness tools that are as accessible as they are impactful. If you haven’t tried it yet, download Opera Air now.
