Developer Tools I’ve Been Loving Recently

Recently I’ve been diving into 3D technology, and honestly, it’s been pretty overwhelming… But thanks to AI advancements, tasks that used to take hours can now be done in seconds. Today I want to share three tools that I’ve actually tried and thought “This is genuinely useful!”

🎨 3D Avatar Forge

The most frustrating part when I started learning 3D was how complex modeling could be. I tried getting into Blender and stuff, but creating a decent character would take me days… That’s when I stumbled upon this tool.

It literally creates high-quality 3D avatars in an instant. At first I was like “Really? No way,” but when I actually tried it, I was blown away. For prototyping or as placeholder assets in game development, the quality is more than good enough.

For indie developers, saving time and money is a matter of survival. Thanks to this tool, I don’t have to get bogged down in modeling anymore and can focus on the actual feature development I want to do.

While studying 3D tech, I’m also writing academic papers in English… and man, that’s another headache. My advisor keeps throwing these ruthless word limits at me like “Keep the abstract under 150 words” or “This section needs to be exactly 500 words.”

At first I was manually counting words while cutting and adding text, but I hit my limit. Using Mojisu made adjusting English text length so much easier.

So I’ve been talking about these handy tools, but… honestly, the intense studying lately has been so draining that I feel like my personality is changing. I used to be way more optimistic, but recently I’ve been getting kind of negative.

That’s when I tried My16Type – apparently it’s some kind of specialized psychological test. I used to think personality assessment tools were just “fortune telling nonsense,” but this one was surprisingly accurate.

Looking at the results, I was like “Oh, I’m in a stressed state right now, that’s why I’m acting differently than usual.” It also helps with team development – knowing what type you are makes role distribution much smoother.

Technical skill development is important, but I realized that understanding yourself is equally crucial.

People talk about AI tools “taking away human jobs,” but after using them, I don’t think that’s the case at all. It’s more like AI handles the tedious stuff, letting us focus on the creative work that only humans can do.
