When sending out your resume during job hunting, you can waste a lot of time if you use the wrong job boards. It feels great to send them on Indeed, Glassdoor, SimplyHired, and LinkedIn Jobs but is it?
These are just a few of the giant job aggregators that might lose quality over quantity while recruiters from all around the world add their job offers there are tons of candidates so the moment you apply, you can already be too late.
Let’s present a few interesting niche job boards you can use to get your next interview with cool companies.
1. Otta
Pricing: FREE
Why?: Highly curated jobs, great onboarding process, built-in inbox with chat, fast-tracking of interview stages, stunning UX&UI.
I got my last job through it and can recommend it 100%!
2. Cord
Pricing: FREE
Why?: Highly curated jobs, great onboarding process, built-in inbox with chat, can filter through direct, external and agency. Also, a nice Profile Insights analytics so you can polish up your profile until it’s perfect for employers.
3. Wellfound
Pricing: FREE
Why?: Hidden gem startups especially from the US, if you land a job there it’ll be the best job you ever had (probably). Robust app with profiles, applied jobs tracking, messages, profiles, and tons of remote opportunities.
4. Remote OK
Pricing: FREE
Why?: Simple UX&UI, can quickly search and filter through, includes location & salary filters which is great to drill down the results, and comes with a good profile setup where you can provide all the details.
5. We Work Remotely
Pricing: FREE
Why?: Quite similar to the Remote OK, but has useful links such us Top 100 Remote Companies Hiring or Advanced Job Search.
6. JS Remotely
Pricing: FREE
Why?: Straightforward with quick filters to search through and navigate to a desired company that posted a job, also they have a “Go Remotely Group” for different areas/programming languages e.g. Python Remotely so you can search through their different websites.
7. 4 Day Week
Pricing: FREE
Why?: I discovered it recently, but the cool thing is a 4-Day Week Job for a better work-life balance, they also have a nice newsletter so you can get weekly alerts about new job opportunities.
